More common craft seen scouting out systems and monitoring the progress of other races. Additional combat operations and special command forces.

Often in groups of 4 Frigate Class Lynx ships.

Systems include classifiec weapons ring, Folding point, Jump, and warp system.

The weapons pods on both sides are rapid fire bay weapons. This is one of the few class of ships with this level of weapons.

(Human class ships would need to be Battleship class and need spinal mounts to gain the same level of fire power for even the deck guns.)

The drone's main function is probing areas and gather science data. Suring war or combat they often are used as recon teams. And in this function they may sport 'sub-drones' under the control of the drone that can be deployed on planet side. These are often small and mainly just floating eyes/sensors. (Although some sport RODENT deployments.)

A extra set of eyes for the crew.

It also has a lot of stealth capabilities making it have a small footprint as it moves through. Radar does not pick it up, unless they 'intend' to be seen. Being dark of pitch black it will absorb light. Cameleon skin also allows for camoflague capabilities. Cloaking when absolutely needed. And finally it emits no or low yield em field.

It can also offer light defensive fighter support, light for Altronians. Offering 6 forward mounted gun mounts, and a limited EDMD weapon.

Its anti-gravity system nullifyies its momentum/mass effect, and use of gravity field manipulation its main mode of thrust can be done effortlessly. Supplimenting this it sports a high speed spacial warping system for faster travel.

Each has a cargo bay large enough for one humanoid, or 'matter' storage for localized transporter stasis. This allows for a alternative life-pod or even troop transport to field of activity that normal transporting does not allow.

They are Artificially Intelligent, unmanned. They are in sync with the computer systems of the Destroyer, having dual processing and back up. The drone knows it will be rebuild complete with its memory if it dies/crashes/goofs. And they have a humanoid Avitar on the Net which they can project.

(It is interesting note they kinda resemble the 'triangle' UFO often reported. Only again the Altronians will be first to point out they were not around when those were being reported. Much speculation on both sides who those were is being looked into by both Human and Altronian. It is noted these are much smaller then those craft, about 1/3rd the UFO's size.)
