Gamilion Turret Gun Study

From Star Blasers (aka Space Battleship Yamato)
From the enemy race (later allies) galman, gamilon, gamilion.... depending on who translated or spelling preference....

The Gamilion ship designs were one I loved from the first day I saw their distinctive destroyers.

This is a closer look at the Unique type of ship turret they introduced in that Anime.

Generally I expected it has no ability to aim up or down. But closer look I believe it can focal pivot in the socket and the turret must be able to rock in spot up and down.

Combined those two allow a little improvement.

Even still in the show the ships turned to aim and there is little actual evidence to what I assume.

Either way I still loved the look of the turrets. They also showed up in a varriant in many other Anime, Manga, and even TSR's Star Frontiers.
